This program introduces you to the research and history behind the cultural intelligence (CQ) model and why it matters. As part of the pre-certification work, you complete the CQ 360 Assessment. During certification, you will learn how to effectively debrief assessment Feedback Reports. In addition, you get a full set of research-based strategies for helping others improve their CQ.
Through this train-the-trainer program, participants learn how to facilitate the Developing Cultural Intelligence (CQ) Workshop, a highly interactive program that provides participants with an introduction to the CQ model and research. The workshop places heavy emphasis on application for effectively working across domestic and/or international differences. Workshop participants receive examples and best practices for using CQ within an organization or team and leave with an action plan for improving Cultural Intelligence. The train-the-trainer program includes a license to use CQ Center´s materials and contains extensive instructional notes for successfully delivering the workshop.

All participants must complete a CQ 360 Assessment and Applying CQ: Using CQ in Everyday Life e-learning program before the course begins in order to receive your certification.
It is recommended that all participants complete the CQ Starter program before the course begins in order to receive your certification.

The registration fee is valid for one person and is nonrefundable. However, we will allow a registrant the one-time option to transfer their registration to another available session within one calendar year, so long as written (email) notice is provided to the CQ Center at least 10 days prior to the course start date. If a registrant provides fewer than 10 days’ notice of a transfer request, an administrative fee of $250 / £200 / €230 per program will be applied.
It is the responsibility of the registrant to inform the CQ Center of any changes to personal information, especially name, shipping address or email address.
If a registrant fails to attend a course and no notice is provided before the course starts, that individual will be considered a “no-show” and will not be eligible for a refund or to transfer their registration.
We reserve the right to cancel a Certification session 20 days out, in which case full refunds will be provided.
Full attendance to the program is required to receive your certification. Participants who miss more than 30 minutes of a program will need to attend the missed portions at a future program to be considered certified and receive their materials and credentials.
Our programs include presentation of concepts, live discussions, and other group activities, all of which are crucial to deepen your understanding of Cultural Intelligence and ability to help others develop their CQ. Should you realize you will not be able to dedicate your full attention to the session, be it virtual or in person, please plan to attend it at a different time.

For virtual sessions, we advise participants to select a location where the privacy of session attendees and other occupants of their physical environment is preserved.
The content of our programs is proprietary, and our sessions typically involve discussion of sensitive and/or personal topics. To protect our intellectual property, the confidentiality of personal examples, and the privacy of our participants, the use of recording devices is not permitted in our virtual or in-person sessions. Selecting the ‘Choose my date later’ option allows the purchaser to select any relevant course scheduled within 12 months of purchase, subject to seat availability.
Requests for refunds as per our money-back guarantee will only be considered if received within 24 hours of program completion and via the appropriate form (details on home page). If the pre-work has not been completed, the request will be refused.

The CQ Certification activity has been approved by the ICF (International Coaching Federation) for 8 hours of Core Competencies and 2 hours of *Resource Development Continuing Education Credits. *Resource Development includes training formerly called Personal Development, Business Development, or Other Skills and Tools.
The use of this official seal confirms that this Activity has met HR Certification Institute's® (HRCI®) criteria for recertification credit pre-approval.
The Cultural Intelligence Center is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP®.
Please note that CQ Certification is a prerequisite for CQ Train-the-Trainer, so please make sure the date you choose for CQ Train-the-Trainer occurs AFTER the date you choose for CQ Certification.
